Patents & Intellectual Property
Atumics maintains a disciplined intellectual property strategy. Every patent family maps to a specific research programme and pillar, ensuring coherent portfolio development.
Portfolio Strategy
Atumics files patent families rather than individual patents, ensuring that each invention is protected across the jurisdictions and claim types necessary for comprehensive coverage. Each family is assigned a structured identifier (AT-YEAR-SEQUENCE) that links it to the originating research programme.
Our IP strategy is defensive first — ensuring freedom to operate in our core technology areas — and licensing-forward second. We actively license technology to partners where doing so accelerates deployment and aligns with our mission of advancing human capability.
All patents filed by Atumics are subject to export compliance review under Danish and EU regulations, and defense-related inventions undergo additional classification review by the relevant national security authorities.

Licensing & Technology Transfer
Atumics operates a structured technology licensing programme through its Technology Transfer Office (TTO). Licenses are available for specific patent families under terms that vary based on application domain, geography, and strategic alignment.
Academic Licenses
Reduced-fee access for research institutions. Includes APF platform access, sensor technology patents, and AI infrastructure methods.
Industrial Licenses
Commercial licensing for manufacturing partners. Includes Gluino integration rights, fabrication method patents, and component designs.
Defense & Sovereign
Government-to-government licensing for defense applications. Subject to export control and national security review.
